Serve Funding, LLC (“Serve Funding”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share the information you provide through the Serve Funding client portal (the “Portal”).

1. Information We Collect

To advise on financing for your business we may collect:

  • Business information: legal name, DBA, address, EIN, NAICS code, ownership structure, products and services, revenue, and deposit history.
  • Personal information about you and other owners: full name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, contact details, residence ownership, and personal financial statement details.
  • Financial documents: bank statements, debt schedules, tax returns, and other supporting documents you upload.
  • Account and usage data: email, password (hashed), audit logs, and the actions you take in the Portal.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Evaluate your business and source financing options;
  • Share your application with lenders and capital providers who may extend financing to you;
  • Verify your identity and comply with federal anti-money-laundering laws (including the USA PATRIOT Act);
  • Communicate with you about your application and our services;
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Portal; and
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

3. Credit Reports & FCRA Notice

When you submit a financing application you authorize Serve Funding and its agents and service providers to obtain a consumer report (including your credit score) under the Fair Credit Reporting Act for purposes of evaluating your application and identifying suitable lenders.

4. Sharing With Lenders & Service Providers

Our core service is to introduce you to lenders. To do that we share the information you submit with lenders and capital providers we believe are a fit for your request. We also share information with service providers who help us operate the Portal (cloud hosting, email delivery, document signing, AI-assisted document processing). Each of these providers is contractually bound to use your information only to provide services to Serve Funding.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Equal Credit Opportunity Act Notice

The Federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act prohibits creditors from discriminating against credit applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age, because all or part of the applicant’s income derives from any public-assistance program, or because the applicant has in good faith exercised any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act. The federal agency that administers compliance with this law concerning Serve Funding is the Federal Trade Commission, Equal Credit Opportunity, Washington, DC 20580.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations. You may request deletion of your data by emailing us at the address below; some information must be retained for regulatory or legitimate business reasons even after a deletion request.

7. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices

You may:

  • Access, correct, or update the information in your profile at any time;
  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request deletion of your account (subject to legitimate retention obligations); and
  • Opt out of marketing emails (transactional emails about your application will still be sent).

9. Children

The Portal is intended for business owners and authorized representatives and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you in the Portal or by email. The “last updated” date at the top of this page tells you when the policy was last revised.
